This is essentially a quick gloss over some of the essential topics in computer science. The diagrams aid, except in the case where they are just XKCD cartoons of class.

It has a simple wording and excellent examples to empathize the concepts although I think it leaves some concepts without caption, I need a 2d opinion (from a friend who knows nothing of CS) to actually know if it is every bit simple, clear and well explained as I'm thinking, information technology was to me.
I don't think this Very good read IF you are a beginner developer. Most of the topics covered in this book are unknown or at least not well-known to novice developers and are essential to be a good programmer.
It has a unproblematic diction and fantabulous examples to understand the concepts although I think it leaves some concepts without explanation, I need a second stance (from a friend who knows nothing of CS) to really know if it is as simple, clear and well explained as I'one thousand thinking, it was to me.
I don't think this book is plenty to master all these topics because computer science is a wide field and it takes so much time to grasp all of the intricacies, just it is a good introduction to the mode of thought of a serious and professional developer.
I would recommend it to whatever developer who has not studied computer sciences or curious person who would like to know more nigh computer science. Also, y'all could take information technology as an alphabetize or a syllabus to know what to written report to primary information science. His references and the end of the capacity are smashing.

A really nice introduction to computer scientific discipline for those that do not take time for more than academic books about the topic. It allows to grasp the bones concepts, introduces some neat algorithms, and strengthens good algorithm blueprint, while allowing the reader to get into writing good code very soon. At every point where the author needs to explain a complex idea or process, he just adds the word "simply do ____", despite the fact that what he's asking you to practise is non that simple, specially for a novice (and he comes off as very cavalier when he does this).Thus, he's copping out on actually explaining most of the processes - he never gives thorough plenty information on how to approach a problem. This is an awful habit for an introductory level teacher to take.
The book just vaguely glosses over every topic, and that's a terrible feature (though information technology's advertised as a practiced one)! This reduces the book to zip more than than a half-assed and heavy-handed encyclopedia that will forcefulness yous to seek out more competent sources.
It also seems that the writer's English is not that strong, because he's just not an effective communicator. I've had to re-read paragraphs in the book v-seven times over just to decipher what he was trying to say. I'grand just 17 pages deep and I've already institute iii typos. In about 160 pages, he covers everything from logic/mathematics, to the nature of data, and algorithms. He and then discusses databases, and gives a quick introduction to how computers work at the hardware level. To top information technology off, he gives an introduction to programming.
Cypher in this book presupposes whatsoever prior programming knowledge, and the code he does use is written in a pseudocode which resembles Python. It is very straightforward.
Each affiliate can be read in isolation, as reference, or as a whole.
This book seems highly suitable for people entertaining the idea of pursuing computer science, simply aren't certain. It would also be useful for people working with computers, and want to know a bit more well-nigh how they operate under the hood. Topics in the book are on signal and not of them are somehow legacy. Everything is on point and information technology will help you meliorate, like a lot. Tbh, it gave me a lot of selfconfidence about what I do.
